Baden-Baden und die Magie des Pferderennens

Mit ihrer teils experimentellen Bildsprache eröffnet sie neue Perspektiven auf die Wirklichkeit. In ihrer künstlerischen Arbeit setzt sie gerne gezielt auf die ICM-Technik (Intentional Camera Movement), bei der malerisch-abstrakte Bildwelten entstehen. Diese Technik erlaubt es ihr, Bewegung, Emotion und Zeit in einem flüchtigen Moment einzufangen. Dynamik im Bild darzustellen steht gerade auch bei stark bewegten Motiven im Mittelpunkt. So auch bei den Galopprennbildern, entstanden bei den Pferderennen in Iffezheim.

Christina Lourenço versteht Dynamik als ein Zusammenspiel aus Licht, Farbe und Form, das weit über das rein Abbildhafte hinausgeht. Ihre Fotografien wirken oft wie gemalt, laden zum Verweilen ein und lassen den Betrachter in eine neue, intuitive Bildwirklichkeit eintauchen. Die Werke geben Raum für eigene Gedanken und Emotionen.

 

Baden-Baden and the magic of horse racing

With her sometimes experimental visual language, she opens up new perspectives on reality. In her artistic work, she likes to use the ICM technique (Intentional Camera Movement), which creates painterly-abstract visual worlds. This technique allows her to capture movement, emotion and time in a fleeting moment. Depicting dynamics in the image is also at the centre of her work, especially when it comes to strongly moving motifs. This is also the case with the gallop racing pictures, created at the horse races in Iffezheim.

Christina Lourenço understands dynamism as an interplay of light, colour and form that goes far beyond the purely pictorial. Her photographs often look like paintings, inviting the viewer to linger and immerse themselves in a new, intuitive pictorial reality. The works provide space for the viewer’s own thoughts and emotions.

 

 

Biografie

Christina Lourenço ist eine Fotografin und Fotokünstlerin aus Iffezheim, die seit über drei Jahrzehnten von der Fotografie begleitet wird, zunächst als Hobby, dann nebenberuflich und schließlich hauptberuflich. Die 47-Jährige ist in Mannheim geboren und aufgewachsen. Im Jahr 2009 zog sie nach Reilingen, 2020 wechselte sie in den Nachbarort Hockenheim. 2022 gab sie ihren Lehrerberuf auf, um sich ausschließlich ihrer Leidenschaft, der Fotografie, widmen zu können. Seit 2023 ist sie als selbstständige Fotografin und Fotokünstlerin in Iffezheim tätig. Die Kunstfotografie nimmt inzwischen einen bedeutenden Teil ihrer Arbeit ein. In diesem Zusammenhang präsentiert sie ihre Werke regelmäßig im Rahmen von Ausstellungen – national und international. Ihre Werke waren jüngst neben Ausstellungen in Baden-Baden und Umgebung bei der Art Expo in Paris und New York sowie in der Van Gogh Art Gallery in Madrid zu sehen.

Biography

Christina Lourenço is a photographer and photo artist from Iffezheim who has been involved in photography for over three decades, initially as a hobby, then as a part-time job and finally as a full-time profession. The 47-year-old was born and grew up in Mannheim. She moved to Reilingen in 2009 and moved to the neighbouring town of Hockenheim in 2020. In 2022, she gave up her teaching job to devote herself exclusively to her passion, photography. She has been working as a freelance photographer and photo artist in Iffezheim since 2023. Fine art photography now makes up a significant part of her work. In this context, she regularly presents her works in exhibitions – both nationally and internationally. In addition to exhibitions in Baden-Baden and the surrounding area, her works have recently been shown at the Art Expo in Paris and New York as well as at the Van Gogh Art Gallery in Madrid.
